Wundertale is a platform that lets you create a fully personalized children’s book. Your child becomes the main character in a unique story with individual illustrations created with the help of artificial intelligence.

You can choose between four age groups while creating your book: 0–3 years, 3–6 years, 6–9 years, and 9+ years. The story, language style, and illustrations are adapted to the selected age group.

We currently support the following languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Turkish.

The process happens in five simple steps inside our studio:

• Choose a style: Select an illustration style and the page count (24 pages).
• Story: Set the title, age group, mood, and language. The AI creates a unique story from it.
• Characters: Describe the main character and optional supporting characters — name, age, appearance, and personality.
• Pages: The AI illustrates the pages. Our team checks the quality before you see the result.
• Finish: Review your book and decide whether you want to download it as a digital book or order it in print.

Yes. You can upload a photo of your child so that the AI-generated illustrations resemble them. You can also upload reference images of stuffed animals, pets, or other objects that should appear in the story.

Important: your original photos are used exclusively to create stylized illustrations and are deleted afterwards. You can find more information in our privacy policy.

You can influence nearly every aspect of the book:

• Illustration style: Choose from different artistic styles
• Mood: From adventurous to funny to dreamy — 19 different moods
• Characters: Name, age, gender, appearance, personality, and interests of the main and supporting characters
• Page count: 24 pages
• Language: 6 languages available

Setting everything up in the studio takes only a few minutes. AI-driven generation of the story and illustrations then takes a few hours depending on the number of pages. Our team checks the quality before you receive the finished book.

If you are unhappy with a page, you can send us feedback. Our team will make adjustments and revise the affected pages for you.

The digital book is the first step: you receive your personalized book as a high-quality PDF for download and can read it in our online flipbook reader.

The printed edition (softcover or hardcover) is optional and can be ordered separately after purchasing the digital book. This way you can review the result first before ordering a printed copy.

We deliberately split the process into two steps. This means you do not have to pay a higher amount immediately without knowing what you will receive by mail. With the digital book, you can review every page and request changes if needed before deciding on a printed edition.

We offer two binding types:

• Softcover: A light, flexible paperback — ideal for everyday use and taking along.
• Hardcover: A premium hardbound book with gift-quality feel — perfect as a lasting keepsake.

You can order up to 20 copies per order.

Yes. When ordering a printed edition, you can add a personal dedication that will appear in the printed book.

You can find current prices on our pricing page. The price of the printed edition is added on top of the digital book. Exact prices vary depending on the binding type (softcover or hardcover).

You can pay with PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payment is processed via PayPal — there you can also pay by credit or debit card without a PayPal account.

After you place an order for a printed edition, your book is professionally printed and shipped to you. The delivery time is 5–7 working days from order confirmation. We will notify you by email as soon as your book ships. If our print partner provides tracking, the tracking number is included in that email.

We currently ship printed books within Germany only. For printed books we charge a flat shipping fee of €6.53 per order, or €7.68 per order if it contains at least one hardcover. No shipping costs apply to digital products (digital book, audiobook).

Your photos are transmitted to our AI services in order to create stylized illustrations. Once the illustrations are finished, the original photos are deleted both by us and by the AI service — after 7 days at the latest. The finished books contain only the generated illustrations, not your original photos.

Your data is shared only with the services required to create and deliver your book: AI services for generation and our print partner for printed editions. You can find all details in our privacy policy.

Then we’ll make it better — or you get your money back. Your purchase includes free revision rounds: simply flag the pages you don’t like and describe what should change. If your book still doesn’t win you over afterwards, we refund the full price of the digital book. The promise applies until you order your printed copy (which counts as approving your book), at most 14 days after completion. Just write to info@wundertale.shop.

Digital book: Because your book is created individually, the right of withdrawal expires as soon as creation begins, provided that you expressly agreed to this during checkout.

Printed edition: Because each book is printed according to your personal specifications, it is excluded from returns (custom-made goods pursuant to Section 312g para. 2 no. 1 BGB).

If your printed book has quality defects (for example missing pages, printing errors, or shipping damage), please contact us. We will review the issue and offer a solution, either a replacement delivery or a refund.

Yes. A customer account is required to use the studio so that your book project can be stored securely and accessed at any time.

Absolutely. You can create as many book projects as you like — for different children, different stories, or as gifts.

The studio works in any modern web browser on desktop, tablet, or smartphone. For the best experience, we recommend using a desktop browser.

You can download your finished book as a PDF and open it on any device. Our online flipbook reader is also available so you can flip through your book directly in the browser.
